The Digital Workplace Awards 2023 witnessed a flurry of nominations from a variety of industries. As the conference drew closer, the anticipation grew, and the excitement was palpable. Category One: Most Impactful Digital Transformation 

Winner: Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre

The spotlight shone on the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, an organization that redefined its intranet to provide enhanced access to crucial information and online tools for its diverse workforce. With 3,300 doctors, nurses, corporate services staff, cleaners, and patient services assistants benefiting from the transformation, the center’s dedication to improving efficiency, scalability, and user experience earned them a well-deserved victory.

The redesign of their Intranet was successful for 3 reasons.

1. Improvement to employee experience
2.  Streamlining content publishing– saving time and effort
3. It has become the new standard for technology modernisation within the health services industry

Category Two: Rising Star

Winner: Kelli D’Monte

Kelli D’Monte’s journey exemplified the transformative power of persistence and dedication. With a focus on fostering technological adoption within her organization, Kelli masterminded the migration of documents for 950 VACCA  (Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency) Staff. Her unwavering commitment, despite initial reluctance, turned her into an expert in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. Kelli’s story resonates as a testament to the possibilities that arise when one embraces change with an open mind.

Category Three: Most Game Changing Vendor:

Winner: Rapid Circle/Orchestry

Rapid Circle wowed the Conference attendees during the Keynote with explanation of Orchestry – a product that encapsulates the essence of digital innovation.The entertaining presentation won the “People’s Choice” vote from the audience to make them a clear winner in this category.

Category Four: Changing the World

Winner: Chander Ram

Chander Ram’s creation resonated far beyond the confines of typical digital transformations. His solution for remote learning at the KM Music Conservatory, powered by Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and Power Platform, connected over 300 students in the realm of music education during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic. Chander’s dedication garnered global recognition, showcasing the broader impact that digital initiatives can achieve.
